What CBP is
The Citizen Benefit Program is a hybrid cash and restricted-wallet benefits platform. It supports government benefits, food allocations, incentives and controlled spending allowances — so that a food allocation is spent on food, and a fuel allowance on fuel.

Cash and restricted balances on the same card, each spendable only where the programme intends.
Built to interoperate
Designed to work across banks, NIBSS, payment processors, POS networks and digital channels rather than in a closed loop.
Accountable by design
Every disbursement and redemption is traceable, which is what reduces leakage in benefits distribution.
Local economic effect
Registered vendors and retailers are paid through the same rails, keeping spend inside the communities served.
